About The Position

Responsible for the maintenance, repair and proper operation of all hospital, mechanical equipment. Equipment includes compressors, pumps, boilers, plumbing, door and locks, sterilizers and some minor electrical. Assist master plumber with in-house plumbing projects.

Requirements

• High School Diploma
• Two years general experience.
• Must be able to make decisions clearly and quickly.
• Must be able to withstand many hours of standing, walking, stooping, bending, lifting, and moving equipment.
• Manual dexterity, good eye to hand coordination with adequate vision.
• Must be able to understand, read, write, and speak English fluently.
• Must be about to work as a team member with peers and other departments.
• Must be able to cope with agitated, hostile customers and respond calmly.

Nice To Haves

• Vocational school preferred
• Five years general maintenance experience

Responsibilities

• Performs analytical diagnosis on malfunctioning equipment.
• Performs mechanical repair in a workmanship manner using correct tools and procedures
• Performs planned maintenance on all mechanical equipment
