Requirements

  • High school Diploma or technical school education or related experience.
  • At least 3 years’ experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Basic Math Skills.
  • Experience working with pneumatic, electrical and mechanical equipment.
  • Good computer skills utilizing SAP and MS Office.

  • Worked and operated assembly machinery and computers in a Clean Room Environment.

  • Able to regularly and frequently stand, walk, and bend during performance of essential duties.
  • Physically capable of the required work including but not limited to: Extensive use of manual dexterity, ability to grip, firmly hold, turn and practice strong hand coordination in order to troubleshoot, service and repair industrial equipment and use hand tools to perform the same.
  • Understands and practices safe working procedures.
  • Observes safety rules and policies; brings to managements’ attention any unsafe acts or conditions.
  • Basic computer literacy.
  • Basic knowledge of tools for machine intervention.
  • Basic understanding of production line mechanics and troubleshooting.
  • Able to communicate clearly with support staff.
  • Ability to continuously practice and follow all safety procedures and PPE requirements.
  • Willing to gown for the purpose of entering cleanrooms.
  • Willing to use required personal protective equipment (PPE) while satisfying all work requests.
  • Ability to recognize and abate safety hazards

Responsibilities

  • Comply with current Good Manufacturing Practices.
  • Control downtime by performing routine preventive maintenance and monitoring operation.
  • Ensure operation of machinery by performing preventive maintenance on conveyor systems and production machines, hydraulic systems, following diagrams, sketches, operating manuals, manufacturer's instructions, engineering specifications and ability to understand mechanical drawings.
  • Report poor operating conditions or high reject levels to lead mechanics and/or supervision.
  • Locate sources of problems by observing mechanical devices in operation, listening for problems, using precision measuring and testing instruments.
  • Follow proper procedures; report and document all repairs and interventions accurately.
  • Maintain safe and clean work environment by complying with company's procedures.
  • Maintain product quality standards and specifications by observing operations, detecting malfunctions, inspecting parts, and replacing tooling.
  • Set-up production equipment by completing equipment changeovers.
  • Train new employees, Operators and Junior Mechanics on manufacturing techniques and procedures as directed by supervision.
  • Maintain supplies by checking stock and requesting supplies.
  • Flexibility to accommodate extended hours of work as per business requirement.
