About The Position

This role involves assisting heavy equipment mechanics in repairing and maintaining machinery and mechanical equipment. The position also includes performing essential duties such as oil changes, tire repairs, and general servicing, while promoting and adhering to the company's health, safety, and environmental program. The Mechanic Helper will also be responsible for maintaining a clean and organized work environment.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• Experience with cranes or heavy equipment preferred.

Responsibilities

• Promotes, executes and adheres to the company’s health, safety, and environmental program.
• Assists heavy equipment mechanic in repairing and maintaining machinery and mechanical equipment.
• Carries tools and equipment to and from storage and work areas.
• Holds scaffolding members in place or tightens the bolt to erect a working platform for machines.
• Pulls handle to raise materials and tools to a working level.
• Performs oil changes, tire repairs, and general servicing.
• Performs housekeeping duties to maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
• Performs other duties or tasks as required based on company’s needs.
