About The Position

The Mechanic Helper supports vehicle maintenance and repair work. The role requires basic knowledge of lubrication and oil service, the ability to read and write service documentation, and the physical ability to work with vehicle parts and use a vehicle lift. The posting also includes a Human Performance Evaluation (HPE) with specified lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, and grip-strength tests as part of a qualification process for a Cash Management Services Teller position; it does not clarify how that evaluation relates to the Mechanic Helper role.

Requirements

Clean driving record.
Basic knowledge of lubrication and oil service.
Ability to read and understand technical service manuals, repair orders, labels, and gauges in English.
Ability to write service orders.
Ability to communicate verbally in English by telephone to order parts and supplies.
Valid driver’s license held for at least 3 years.
Ability to drive automatic and standard-transmission vehicles weighing 2,000 to 50,000 lbs.
Ability to walk, stand, bend, stoop, squat, lift up to 50 lbs., push, pull, climb, and lie on the back in a horizontal position for prolonged periods.
Ability to hoist vehicles of any size using a vehicle jack and a foot-and-arm pumping motion.
Ability to lift and hold parts in position while lying on the back on a concrete floor.
Successful completion of the stated Human Performance Evaluation tests: specified lifts; a 30-lb lift and 10-ft carry; a 90-lb-force, single non-dominant-arm push-pull; and repeated hand-dynamometer squeezes up to 30 lbs. with each hand.
