About The Position

The Mechanic Assistant repairs and performs preventative maintenance on company landscape equipment and fleet vehicles. The role services a range of equipment, including commercial mowers, two-cycle equipment, utility vehicles, trailers, and trucks, and works in a shop with an inventory of spare parts and supplies. The Mechanic Assistant is expected to work safely, keep the shop clean and orderly, and contribute to the company’s safety culture by wearing assigned personal protective equipment (PPE).

Requirements

• Legal authorization to work in the United States.
• At least 2 years of repair experience with mowers, small engines, two-cycle equipment, and utility vehicles.
• Strong mechanical skills, including knowledge of basic electrical and hydraulic systems, mower technology, and gasoline and diesel engines.
• Basic automotive repair experience.
• Must have own tools.
• Must have reliable transportation to the branch or first job site.

Nice To Haves

• A safe driving record and ability to successfully pass a Motor Vehicle Report (MVR).

Responsibilities
