About The Position

The Mechanic Assistant repairs and performs preventative maintenance on company landscape equipment and fleet vehicles. The role services a wide variety of landscape power equipment, including commercial mowers, two-cycle equipment, utility vehicles, trailers, and trucks. Work is performed in a shop that maintains an inventory of spare parts and supplies. The assistant is expected to work safely, keep the shop clean and orderly, and wear assigned personal protective equipment (PPE).

Requirements

• Legal authorization to work in the United States.
• At least 2 years of repair experience with mowers, small engines, two-cycle equipment, and utility vehicles.
• Strong mechanical skills, including knowledge of basic electrical and hydraulic systems, mower technology, and gasoline and diesel engines.
• Basic automotive repair experience.
• Must have own tools.
• Reliable transportation to the branch or first job site.
• A safe driving record and ability to successfully pass a Motor Vehicle Report (MVR) are a plus.
