About The Position

Riverton Pointe Golf & Country Club in Hardeeville, South Carolina, is hiring a full-time Assistant Mechanic. The role supports maintenance of golf course vehicles, mowing equipment, and other power equipment at a fast-paced, hospitality-focused property. The position also includes assisting the maintenance crew when equipment servicing is complete and supporting staff training in proper equipment care and upkeep.

Requirements

• Certificate from a college or technical school.
• More than 2 years of experience with small engine repairs and maintenance.
• Valid driver's license.
• Ability to learn quickly and work in a fast-paced environment.
• Regular and reliable attendance.

Responsibilities

• Overhaul and repair maintenance vehicles, mowing equipment, and other power equipment.
• Lubricate and service equipment.
• Inspect equipment for operating deficiencies and make routine adjustments as needed.
• Maintain an up-to-date understanding of hydraulic systems, repairs, and components.
• Inspect, change, and repair tires.
• Assist in controlling tool access and use by maintenance staff.
• Clean work areas after completing repair work.
• Assist with fabrication, body repair, and painting.
• Adjust cutting units on mowing equipment.
• Assist the maintenance crew and potentially operate mowing equipment after servicing equipment.
• Assist in training maintenance staff on proper care and upkeep of golf course equipment.
• Operate or train to operate various types of maintenance equipment as needed.
• Incorporate safe work practices into job performance.
• Perform other duties as required.
