About The Position
Empower Rental Group is hiring a Heavy Equipment Diesel Mechanic Level 4 in Atlanta, Georgia. The company is a family of local equipment rental providers across the Southeastern United States. Mechanics prepare rental equipment for delivery, making necessary modifications and repairs and cleaning units. They also repair and clean equipment returned from customer sites, perform assigned service calls at customer sites, complete preventative maintenance, and help with general yard work. The position includes diagnosing and repairing heavy equipment, completing inspections, and supporting customers and other mechanics.
Requirements
- Over 5 years of experience.
- A valid driver’s license and ability to drive company vehicles may be required, depending on branch needs and insurance requirements.
- Excellent customer service skills for internal and external customers.
- Average computer skills.
- Must have their own basic tools.
Responsibilities
- Assist customers with loading and unloading fleet orders.
- Make notes on rental tags.
- Assist customers with questions and provide customer service as applicable.
- Assist other mechanics with tasks such as lifting or moving heavy objects.
- Clean the yard and shop area.
- May perform repairs on the small fleet.
- Diagnose standard issues with heavy equipment powertrain, hydraulic, and electrical systems using a computer analyzer and traditional troubleshooting methods.
- Complete standard and complex repairs to the fleet.
- Complete inspections.
- Complete any type of work with supervision.
- Perform preventative maintenance, such as changing filters, checking fluids, and filling tires.
- Assist in driving a continuous improvement strategy to achieve ongoing incremental gains in quality and efficiency.
- Complete repairs on company vehicles.
- Maintain a safe work environment.

- Perform other related duties as assigned.
- Prepare rental equipment for delivery, including appropriate modifications, repairs, and cleaning.
- Repair and clean equipment returned from customer sites.
- Complete assigned service calls for equipment located at customer sites.
- Complete general yard work, including cleaning or preparing work areas.
- Complete rental equipment preparation by the delivery date.
- Maintain a ready line and achieve quality standards.
- Provide exceptional customer support and service during field visits.
