About The Position

Responsible for installing, modifying, and repairing new and existing piping systems and equipment. Pipefitters work from drawings, blueprints, and sketches to plan and lay out routing, placement, pitch, elevation, pressure reduction, expansion, and operation of piping systems and equipment. They set up system routes, place and cut route openings, install hangers at appropriate pitch and elevation, and determine and install items such as risers, branch outlets, expansion joints, pumps, gauges, and pressure regulators to ensure proper system operation. They also plan and complete system routing to equipment, position equipment at the proper elevations and locations, and join, seal, and test systems and equipment for proper pressure, leak-free joints, and operation. This is a full-time, onsite position with no telework eligibility and no relocation assistance. U.S. citizenship is required. Travel is not required, and security clearance is not required to start.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent and two years of additional education and/or related experience; alternatively, an apprentice graduate or associate degree in a relevant discipline and one year of related experience.
May require certification.
U.S. citizenship is required for this position.

Join, seal, and test systems and equipment to verify proper pressures, leak-free joints, and operation.
