About The Position
The role involves coating the surface of parts, assemblies, and finished products with protective or decorative materials such as paint, varnish, enamel, lacquer, dope, or stain. This is primarily done using a spray gun. For areas inaccessible to a hand sprayer, a brush or roller is used. The individual in this position may also be responsible for monitoring and verifying quality in accordance with statistical process or other control procedures.
Requirements
- High School diploma or equivalent and 5 years additional education and/or related experience
- Apprentice graduate/ Associate's Degree in relevant discipline and 3 years of related experience
- May require certification
Responsibilities
- Coats surface of parts, assemblies, and finished products with protective or decorative materials such as paint, varnish, enamel, lacquer, dope, or stain using spray gun.
- Selects and mixes coating material.
- Coats areas inaccessible to hand sprayer using brush or roller.
- May monitor and verify quality in accordance with statistical process or other control procedures.
