About The Position

The Fresh Market is hiring seasonal team members to support its stores during key business periods. Team members may work in Grocery, Guest Service (Front End), Early Morning Production, or Produce, and may provide counter support in Deli, Bakery, or Meat & Seafood. The role focuses on providing exceptional, personal guest service and creating a warm, welcoming shopping experience. The pay range is $18.53–$19.33 per hour. Employment is temporary and may conclude at the end of the seasonal business period; seasonal team members are not regular, permanent team members.

The position requires a flexible schedule, including weekends, days, evenings, and holidays. Work involves food handling and preparation, merchandising and stocking, checkout and cash handling, housekeeping, and physical activity including standing or walking for extended periods. Team members must follow uniform and personal protective equipment requirements.

Requirements

• Passion for providing extraordinary service.
• At least 16 years of age, or at least 18 years of age for Deli, Bakery, or Produce.
• Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including weekends, days, evenings, and holidays.
• Ability to perform repetitive hand and arm movements, grasp, bend, reach, and lift, push, or pull up to 50 pounds independently.
• Ability to spend extended periods on one's feet and stand or walk without a break for up to four hours or as required by law.
• Ability to wear an approved hat, hair net, and/or beard guard, and personal protective equipment.

Nice To Haves

• Experience in retail, restaurant, or hospitality industries.
• High school diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent guest service by engaging with guests to understand their wants and needs and help them create meal solutions.
• Maintain knowledge of products and weekly ad items throughout the store and work across departments to assist guests.
• Safely handle food products for guest sampling.
• Merchandise and stock products and specialty items throughout the day while assisting nearby guests.
• Weigh and scan products properly, handle cash, and provide change when appropriate.
• Gather shopping carts from the parking lot and assist with general housekeeping throughout the store.
• Slice and prepare a variety of department meats, cheeses, and convenient meal solutions while maintaining quality product levels.
• Present oneself professionally and adhere to uniform standards.
