About The Position

Busch’s is hiring a Meat/Seafood Associate to assist guests, support department sales, and prepare and maintain meat and seafood products and displays. The role includes recommending cuts, preparation methods, and meal ideas; receiving and storing deliveries; packaging and pricing products; maintaining freshness; and following food-safety and sanitation practices. Associates work in a fast-paced, high-demand environment where time-sensitive processes may contribute to elevated stress. Requirements

High school diploma.
Proficient written, verbal, and listening communication skills.
Proficient selling skills, including asking questions, listening, and making product recommendations.
Proficient merchandising skills to maintain fresh and appealing service and self-service displays.
Stay current on food trends and new items relevant to the department and building sales.
Proficient cleaning abilities to meet sanitation and visual standards.

Responsibilities

Answer guest questions and assist with purchases to build department sales.
Recommend cuts, preparation methods, and meal suggestions to guests.
Receive, verify, and store department deliveries.
Package and price products.
Rotate and cull products to maintain freshness and reduce shrink.
Scan waste to ensure accurate shrink recording.
Grind meats according to prescribed procedures.
Promote products by preparing and offering samples.
Clean and sanitize the department, including equipment, work areas, and service areas.
Follow safe food-handling and personal-hygiene practices.
Follow safety practices, including equipment lockout/tagout for adult associates.
Set and maintain service and self-service cases.
Adhere to Busch’s policies, practices, and procedures.
Build strong working relationships with guests, vendors, and associates.
Demonstrate hospitality when interacting with guests.
