About The Position

As a Meat & Seafood Clerk, you’ll help deliver an exceptional shopping experience by helping customers find fresh, high-quality meat and seafood products. You’ll assist with customer orders, prepare and package products, and keep displays stocked, organized, and appealing. The role offers opportunities to develop skills in food preparation, merchandising, and customer service while maintaining standards for freshness, quality, and food safety.

Requirements

• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
• Above-average oral and written communication skills.
• May be required to lift up to 20 pounds, stand for long periods, and perform physical work including bending, lifting, and reaching.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to Food Safety Protocols, Standard Operating Procedures, health and safety requirements, corporate policies, and other programs and initiatives.
• Order, receive, prepare, and merchandise meat products according to company inventory control procedures, as required.
• Provide superior customer service to meet customer needs.
• Promote featured products to increase store sales.
• Maintain the back shop and retail floor, keeping the work area clean and presentable according to company requirements.
• Prepare customer meat orders, as required.
• Process department shrink, as required.
• Participate in training junior staff.
• Perform other duties as required.
