About The Position

Busch’s is hiring a Meat/Seafood Associate to support department sales and provide helpful, hospitable service to guests. The associate answers questions, makes product and meal recommendations, and helps guests select cuts and preparation methods. The role also handles department deliveries, product packaging and pricing, freshness rotation, waste recording, meat grinding, product sampling, and the upkeep of service and self-service cases. The associate cleans and sanitizes the department and equipment, follows food-handling, personal-hygiene, and safety practices, and adheres to Busch’s policies and procedures. Requirements

High school diploma.
Proficient written, verbal, and listening communication skills.
Proficient selling skills, including asking questions, listening, and making product recommendations.
Proficient merchandising skills to maintain fresh, appealing service and self-service displays.
Stay current on food trends and new items relevant to the department and building sales.
Proficient cleaning abilities to meet sanitation and visual standards.

Responsibilities

Build department sales by answering questions and assisting guests with purchases.
Recommend cuts, preparation methods, and meal ideas to guests.
Receive, verify, and store department deliveries.
Package and price products.
Rotate and cull products to maintain freshness and reduce shrink.
Scan waste for accurate shrink recording.
Grind meats according to prescribed procedures.
Promote products by preparing and offering samples.
Clean and sanitize the department, equipment, work areas, and service areas.
Follow safe food-handling and personal-hygiene practices.
Follow safety practices, including equipment lockout/tagout (adult associates only).
Set and maintain service and self-service cases.
Follow Busch’s policies, practices, and procedures.
Build strong working relationships with guests, vendors, and associates.
Demonstrate hospitality when interacting with guests.
