About The Position

Perform general product preparation, cleanup, and stock work in the Meat department while providing customer service. Requirements

Responsibilities

Cut, grind, slice, prepare, process, trim, tenderize, seal, package, wrap, bag, price, prefabricate, date, label, scale, merchandise, sell, and serve meat products in accordance with company policies.
Accurately update and maintain department temperature logs.
Stock and display meat items safely and in accordance with company standards.
Check product quality and ensure products are properly rotated and fresh.
Keep sales areas, backrooms, and coolers clean and organized.
Keep carts, tools, and supplies organized in their designated areas.
Keep floors clean, safe, and free from clutter.
Provide good customer and associate relations, communicating effectively with customers and fellow associates.
Unload trucks, sort orders, and place products in the proper cooler locations.
Wash and sanitize equipment in accordance with company and health department policies and procedures.
Make a friendly impression on customers; promptly and cheerfully serve customers at the counter, greet them, and provide good-quality foods.
Increase store sales and profits in conjunction with retail operations and marketing programs.
Be prompt, tactful, calm, courteous, and professional in all interactions.
Follow company policies and procedures, including maintaining a work environment free of unlawful harassment or discrimination.
Work cooperatively in a high-paced and sometimes stressful environment and manage conflict in a reasonable, nonconfrontational, and cooperative manner.
