About The Position

Perform general product preparation, clean-up, and stock work in the Meat department while providing customer service. Responsibilities

Cut, grind, slice, prepare, process, trim, tenderize, seal, package, wrap, bag, price, prefabricate, date, label, scale, merchandise, sell, and serve meat products in accordance with company policies.
Accurately update and maintain department temperature logs.
Stock and display meat items safely and according to company standards.
Check product quality and ensure products are properly rotated and fresh.
Keep sales areas, backrooms, and coolers clean and organized.
Keep carts, tools, and supplies in their designated areas and organized.
Keep floors clean, safe, and free from clutter.
Build good relationships with customers and associates and communicate effectively with them.
Unload trucks, sort orders, and place products in the proper cooler location.
Wash and sanitize equipment according to company and health department policies and procedures.
Make a friendly impression on customers; greet and serve them promptly and cheerfully with good-quality foods.
Increase store sales and profits in conjunction with retail operations and marketing programs.
Interact promptly, tactfully, calmly, courteously, and professionally.
Follow company policies and procedures, particularly those intended to maintain a work environment free of unlawful harassment or discrimination.
Work cooperatively in a fast-paced and sometimes stressful environment and manage conflict reasonably, cooperatively, and without confrontation.
