About The Position

Perform general product preparation, clean-up, and stock work in the Meat department while providing customer service. The role includes preparing and processing meat, maintaining product quality and department cleanliness, and serving customers promptly and courteously. Requirements

Responsibilities

Cut, grind, slice, prepare, process, trim, tenderize, seal, package, wrap, bag, price, prefabricate, date, label, scale, merchandise, sell, and serve meat products in accordance with company policies.
Keep department temperature logs accurately updated and maintained.
Stock and display meat items safely and in accordance with company standards.
Check product quality and ensure products are properly rotated and fresh.
Keep sales areas, backrooms, and coolers clean and well organized.
Keep carts, tools, and supplies in their designated areas and organized.
Keep floors clean, safe, and free from clutter.
Provide good customer and associate relations and communicate effectively with customers and fellow associates.
Unload trucks, sort orders, and place products in the proper cooler location.
Wash and sanitize equipment in accordance with company and health department policies and procedures.
Make a friendly impression on customers; greet and serve them promptly and cheerfully, providing good-quality foods.
Help increase store sales and profits in conjunction with retail operations and marketing programs.
Be prompt, tactful, calm, courteous, and professional in all interactions.
Follow company policies and procedures, particularly those maintaining a work environment free of unlawful harassment or discrimination.
Work cooperatively in a fast-paced and sometimes stressful environment and manage conflict reasonably, cooperatively, and without confrontation.
