About The Position

Kj’s Market is hiring a full-time Meat Cutter. The role prepares meat products for sale according to Floco Foods standards and provides friendly service to guests. The Meat Cutter maintains product quality, freshness, sanitation, and proper storage while working in a cold environment.

Requirements

• Friendly, outgoing personality.
• Ability to work well with others.
• Ability to lift 100 pounds occasionally and 40 pounds constantly.
• Demonstrated ability and willingness to learn multiple tasks and technical requirements of the job.
• Effective communication and guest service skills.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Must be able to work in a cold environment.
• Ability to bend, kneel, and stand for extended periods.
• Previous meat-cutting experience.
• Must qualify on the meat-cutting skill test.

Responsibilities

• Provide polite, friendly service to all guests.
• Prepare products for sale by cutting, weighing, and trimming according to Floco Foods standards.
• Price, stock, and rotate frozen and prepared meats and the fresh meat case.
• Fulfill special guest service requests, such as special cuts and slicing.
• Maintain sanitation standards in cooler, sales, and preparation areas.
• Maintain high-quality, fresh, properly dated products available for sale.
• Communicate temperature failures to a supervisor.
• Announce meat department sale items over the PA system.
• Assist with product receiving and storage.
• Perform other tasks assigned by management.
