About The Position

Kj’s Market is hiring a full-time Meat Cutter. The role prepares meat products for sale according to Floco Foods standards, provides friendly service to guests, and maintains product quality, freshness, sanitation, and proper storage in the meat department. The position requires previous meat-cutting experience and the ability to work in a cold environment while performing physical tasks such as lifting, bending, kneeling, and standing for extended periods.

Requirements

• Friendly, outgoing personality.
• Ability to work well with others.
• Ability to lift 100 pounds occasionally and 40 pounds constantly.
• Demonstrated ability and willingness to learn multiple tasks and technical job requirements.
• Effective communication and guest service skills.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Ability to work in a cold environment.
• Ability to bend, kneel, and stand for extended periods.
• Previous meat-cutting experience.
• Meat-cutting skill test qualifications.

Responsibilities

• Provide polite, friendly service to all guests.
• Prepare products for sale by cutting, weighing, and trimming according to Floco Foods standards.
• Price, stock, and rotate frozen and prepared meats and the fresh meat case.
• Fulfill guest service requests, such as special cuts and slicing.
• Maintain sanitation standards in cooler, sales, and preparation areas.
• Maintain high-quality, fresh, and properly dated products for sale.
• Communicate temperature failures to a supervisor.
• Announce meat department sale items over the PA system.
• Assist with receiving and storing products.
• Perform other tasks as assigned by management.
