About The Position

Kj’s Market is hiring a full-time Meat Cutter. The role prepares meat products for sale according to Floco Foods standards, provides friendly service to guests, and maintains product quality, freshness, sanitation, and department operations. The position requires previous meat-cutting experience, the ability to work in a cold environment, and the ability to lift, bend, kneel, and stand for extended periods.

Requirements

• Friendly, outgoing personality.
• Ability to work well with others.
• Ability to lift 100 pounds occasionally and 40 pounds constantly.
• Demonstrated ability and willingness to learn multiple tasks and technical requirements of the job.
• Effective communication and guest service skills.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Must be able to work in a cold environment.
• Ability to bend, kneel, and stand for extended periods.
• Previous meat-cutting experience.
• Meat-cutting skill test qualifications.

Responsibilities

• Provide polite, friendly service to all guests.
• Prepare product for sale by cutting, weighing, and trimming according to Floco Foods standards.
• Price, stock, and rotate frozen and prepared meats and the fresh meat case.
• Fulfill special guest service requests, such as special cuts and slicing.
• Maintain sanitation standards in cooler, sales, and preparation areas.
• Ensure high-quality, fresh, properly dated products are available for sale.
• Communicate temperature failures to a supervisor.
• Announce meat department sale items on the PA system.
• Assist with product receiving and storage.
• Perform other tasks as assigned by management.
