About The Position

Kj’s Market is hiring a full-time Meat Cutter. The role provides friendly guest service and prepares meat for sale by cutting, weighing, and trimming products according to Floco Foods standards. It also involves stocking and rotating meat products, fulfilling special customer requests, maintaining product quality and sanitation, and assisting with receiving and storage.

Requirements

• Friendly, outgoing personality.
• Ability to work well with others.
• Ability to lift 100 pounds occasionally and 40 pounds constantly.
• Demonstrated ability and willingness to learn multiple tasks and technical requirements of the job.
• Effective communication and guest service skills.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Must be able to work in a cold environment.
• Ability to bend, kneel, and stand for extended periods.
• Previous meat cutting experience.
• Meat cutting skill test qualifications.

Responsibilities

• Provide polite, friendly service to guests.
• Prepare products for sale by cutting, weighing, and trimming according to Floco Foods standards.
• Price, stock, and rotate frozen and prepared meats and products in the fresh meat case.
• Fulfill special customer service requests, such as special cuts and slicing.
• Maintain sanitation standards in cooler, sales, and prep areas.
• Maintain high product quality and freshness and ensure products are properly dated and available for sale.
• Communicate temperature failures to a supervisor.
• Announce meat department sale items over the PA system.
• Assist with product receiving and storage.
• Perform other tasks as assigned by management.
