MEAT/MEAT CUTTER
About The Position
Perform general product preparation, clean-up, and stock work in the Meat department while providing customer service. The role includes preparing, processing, merchandising, and serving meat products; maintaining product quality and department cleanliness; receiving and organizing deliveries; sanitizing equipment; and providing prompt, courteous service to customers. The employee must follow company and health department policies, work cooperatively in a fast-paced environment, and perform the essential functions of the position with or without reasonable accommodation.
Requirements

Responsibilities
- Cut, grind, slice, prepare, process, trim, tenderize, seal, package, wrap, bag, price, prefabricate, date, label, scale, merchandise, sell, and serve meat products in accordance with company policies.
- Maintain department temperature logs accurately.
- Stock and display meat items safely and according to company standards.
- Check product quality and ensure products are properly rotated and fresh.
- Keep sales areas, backrooms, and coolers clean and organized.
- Keep carts, tools, and supplies in their designated areas and organized.
- Keep floors clean, safe, and free from clutter.
- Maintain good customer and associate relations and communicate effectively with customers and fellow associates.
- Unload trucks, sort orders, and place products in the proper cooler locations.
- Wash and sanitize equipment in accordance with company and health department policies and procedures.
- Make a friendly impression on customers; greet and serve customers promptly and cheerfully, providing good-quality foods.
- Support store sales and profits in conjunction with retail operations and marketing programs.
- Interact promptly, tactfully, calmly, courteously, and professionally.
- Follow company policies and procedures, including maintaining a work environment free of unlawful harassment or discrimination.
- Work cooperatively in a fast-paced and sometimes stressful environment.
- Manage conflict reasonably and cooperatively without confrontation.
- Act honestly and with integrity when handling customer and business information.
- Follow directions and seek assistance when needed to resolve customer and business issues.
