About The Position
Nugget Markets is seeking a personable, outgoing, team-oriented Meat Cutter/Butcher who enjoys multitasking and sharing knowledge of meat and seafood. The role involves preparing and merchandising meat and seafood products while interacting enthusiastically with guests. Individual hourly pay is based on factors including experience, location, and length of employment. The listed pay range is $22.50–$26 per hour.
Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Knowledge of all power tools within the department.
- Basic to proficient knife skills.
- Basic understanding of English, including the ability to communicate and read basic instructions, schedules, and signage.
- Basic math skills for quantity measurement, proportions, volume ratios, and weight conversions.
- Ability to learn and retain product knowledge.
- Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
- A positive attitude.
Responsibilities
- Cut, package, wrap, and stock beef, pork, chicken, lamb, veal, and seafood products.
- Engage with guests in a personable and enthusiastic manner.
- Create seafood and meat displays.
- Prepare house-made sausages.
- Stock and rotate products properly.
- Ensure inventory control and manage shrink.
- Maintain a clean, sanitary, and attractive work environment.
