About The Position

Caraluzzi's Markets is seeking motivated, hardworking, and career-minded individuals to join our Apprentice Butcher Program. The Apprentice Butcher Program is a long-term commitment designed to provide the knowledge, skills, and experience necessary to develop into a professional meat cutter.

Requirements

Willingness to learn and develop new skills through hands-on training.
Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
Ability to follow food safety, sanitation, and workplace safety procedures.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail and product quality.
Must be available to work, weekends, and flexible hours as needed.
Must be 18 years of age.

Nice To Haves

Previous grocery, food service, meat department, or related experience is helpful but not required.

Responsibilities

Learn and develop proper meat cutting and preparation techniques through hands-on training.
Assist with cutting, trimming, wrapping, packaging, and merchandising a variety of meat products.
Learn proper equipment operation, handling, and maintenance.
Follow all food safety, sanitation, and workplace safety procedures.
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
Provide friendly and knowledgeable service to customers.
Learn and follow Caraluzzi's standards for product quality, presentation, and freshness.
Work closely with experienced meat cutters and department leadership throughout the training program.
Progress through the training program by developing the skills and knowledge necessary for advancement within the Meat Department.
