About The Position

This role is responsible for independently preparing food, packaging, displaying, and stocking meat products while contributing to the store’s financial interests. The associate is expected to meet company guidelines for guest experience and comply with safety and food safety guidelines. The position is based at 9375 Cherry Valley Ave SE, Caledonia, Michigan 49316.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED preferred.
One year of retail or related experience preferred.
Ability to read, write, comprehend, and interpret documents.
Basic mathematical skills, including adding, subtracting, multiplying, and dividing.
Detail oriented.
May be required to lift or move up to 30 pounds frequently and up to 50 pounds occasionally.
Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods and may need to bend, stoop, twist, and turn frequently.

Nice To Haves

Responsibilities

Prepare and produce meat products according to the production planner.
Package and label meat products according to the program plan.
Merchandise meat products according to the flight plan and merchandising expectations.
Stock the backroom with meat products, rotating and dating cases and buckets.
Notify the Meat Manager when products or supplies need to be ordered.
Work with other departments and stores to support growth in SpartanNash retail stores.
Communicate completed tasks, recipes, weights and measures, and cleaning steps to other associates.
Follow all personal protective equipment and safety guidelines.
Follow all food safety and cleaning expectations.
Follow guest experience guidelines.
Perform tasks in other departments as needed to meet customer experience needs.
Take on additional responsibilities as assigned.
