Champaign and Logan County Meal Delivery Driver
About The Position
The Meal Delivery Driver delivers meals and other assigned items to clients in Central Ohio, specifically in the Champaign and Logan County area, using a personal or company vehicle. The role helps ensure clients receive meals in a timely and efficient manner, contributing to their well-being and daily sustenance. The driver maintains food quality and safety, communicates with clients, records delivery details and interactions, follows traffic laws, and checks the vehicle for maintenance needs. The role may also involve assisting older adults and people with disabilities during deliveries and coordinating with the LIFECARE ALLIANCE team to improve delivery routes and schedules.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Experience in delivery or transportation services.
- Familiarity with the Champaign and Logan County areas.
- Ability to lift up to 45 pounds.
- Ability to read and write effectively and navigate using a map or GPS.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage time effectively and adhere to delivery schedules.
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- Reliable vehicle, valid Ohio Driver’s License, acceptable driving record, and adequate vehicle insurance.

Responsibilities

- Communicate with clients to confirm delivery details and address concerns or special requests.
- Maintain accurate delivery records, including time, location, and client interactions.
- Follow traffic laws and regulations and drive safely.
- Perform routine vehicle checks and report maintenance needs.
- Assist clients with special needs, including older adults and handicapped individuals, as necessary during delivery.
- Collaborate with the LIFECARE ALLIANCE team to optimize delivery routes and schedules.
