About The Position

The Manufacturing Design Systems team develops and supports applications and systems that enable Apple products to move from prototype through launch and beyond. This role contributes to implementing software systems and solutions for enclosure manufacturing and the broader Manufacturing Design organization. The work supports operational efficiency, simplicity, cost savings, quality, standardization, and scalability.

The position involves coordinating cross-functional and supplier teams, establishing manufacturing traceability solutions, ensuring data quality, and understanding production processes in detail. It also includes collaborating across functions and regions to solve system problems, including through AI and machine learning approaches. Travel is required.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, computer science, AI, or machine learning, or equivalent practical experience in industry software consulting or implementation.
• Proven project management skills, including the ability to guide and coordinate diverse teams and external partners.
• Experience with data analysis, including data extraction, cleaning, and mining.
• Fluent communication skills in English, Mandarin, and Vietnamese.
• IT experience in software, hardware, or networking, or experience with MES/ERP systems.
• Broad knowledge of quality, supply chain, or operations management.
• Practical experience with AI in manufacturing.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Proven cross-functional leadership.
• Willingness to travel.

Nice To Haves

• SQL and Python skills.
• PMP or Six Sigma certification.
• MBA.

Responsibilities

• Engage and lead cross-functional teams, including quality, engineering, supply chain, and software, to align requirements and system design.
• Negotiate project scope, schedules, and results with suppliers; estimate technical effort and identify risks before implementation.
• Lead and work with contract manufacturers and vendors to establish an Apple Manufacturing Traceability system solution.
• Ensure data quality.
• Understand production processes and operational challenges in detail, simplify complex problems, and deliver clear information.
• Collaborate with cross-functional and cross-regional teams to solve system problems using various methods, including AI/ML.
