About The Position
Tutera Senior Living & Health Care is seeking a compassionate, dedicated Registered Nurse for the MDS Coordinator role at Mattoon Rehab and Health. The coordinator is responsible for completing the RAI and care management processes accurately and on time from admission through discharge, in accordance with company policies and procedures, federal and state requirements, certification guidelines, and other applicable requirements. Duties include Minimum Data Set completion and discharge and admission tracking. With direction from the Director of Nursing and VP of Clinical Reimbursement, the MDS Coordinator may also coordinate clinical department information systems operations and education. Requirements
- Be currently licensed as a Registered Nurse (RN) in the state in which you are practicing.
- Have a fire and passion for working with seniors.
- Have a flexible, fun, and energetic personality.
- Possess a thorough understanding of the Quality Indicator process, OBRA regulations, and the Minimum Data Set.
- Have knowledge of the care planning process.
- Have a professional image in both appearance and behavior.
- Have excellent written and oral communication skills.
Nice To Haves
- Prior MDS experience.
- At least one year of experience in an LTC, SNF, AL, or MC setting.
- Excellent knowledge of Case-Mix, the Federal Medicare PPS process, and Medicaid reimbursement.
Responsibilities
- Complete the RAI process accurately and on time from admission to discharge.
- Complete the care management process accurately and on time from admission to discharge.
- Ensure work complies with company policies and procedures, federal and state requirements, certification guidelines, and other applicable requirements.
- Complete Minimum Data Set documentation and discharge and admission tracking.
- With direction from the Director of Nursing and VP of Clinical Reimbursement, coordinate information systems operations and education for the clinical department.
