About The Position

Avalon Care Center Federal Way is seeking an experienced MDS Coordinator (Registered Nurse – RN) to join its clinical team. The Resident Assessment Coordinator is responsible for Medicare and Managed Care residents as directed by the Resident Assessment Director, overseeing services provided during each inpatient stay from admission through discharge. The role also ensures accurate and timely completion of all OBRA-required assessments and is considered a key financial and clinical member of the management team. This position is not subject to nursing call schedules. The position is full-time, with a wage range of $55.00–$60.00 per hour. Placement within the range depends on years of experience, qualifications, and demonstrated ability to perform the essential functions.

Requirements

Hold a current, active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice.
Be well-versed in interpersonal communications.
Be familiar with the RAI process and case management.
Be able to read, write, and speak English.
Meet local health regulations and pass a post-employment physical exam if required, including drug screening, criminal background investigation, and reference inquiry.
