MBSE & Digital Threads Engineer

Booz Allen Hamilton•Aurora, CO
•$62,000 - $141,000

About The Position

Booz Allen is seeking an intellectually curious engineer to build and apply interdisciplinary digital models that carry mission-critical systems from concept through their full lifecycle. The work combines systems engineering, architecture, and data, including specifications, interfaces, milestone products, and digital threads that keep engineering artifacts consistent as designs evolve. The team supports government and other mission-critical systems, including space, ground, positioning, navigation, timing, and lunar mission work. The engineer will develop system models and architectures, apply Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE), support program milestone reviews, and use automation to improve efficiency and model quality. The role also contributes to generative AI capabilities for MBSE by connecting engineering models and products with inference workflows, human review, and quality checks. The position involves working with government clients, contractor teammates, and internal partners. At the senior end, the engineer will shape the approach, lead work through milestone reviews, and mentor others. Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; Secret clearance is required. Compensation is projected at $62,000 to $141,000 annualized USD. The salary depends on factors including location, education, skills, experience, and organizational requirements. The posting is scheduled to close within 90 days from its Posting Date. Booz Allen describes its offerings as including health, life, disability, financial, and retirement benefits; paid leave; professional development; tuition assistance; work-life programs; dependent care; and recognition awards. Full-time and part-time employees regularly working at least 20 hours per week are eligible to participate in benefit programs, subject to the stated terms. The hiring process includes identity verification using biometrics and artificial intelligence; candidates are expected to be on camera during interviews and assessments. Use of AI or other tools to assist with interview responses is prohibited unless explicitly permitted. The work model is not specified for this position; the posting provides general descriptions of remote, hybrid, and onsite arrangements. Virtual employees are generally expected to have cameras on during meetings.
