About The Position

The Mattress Department Forklift Operator supports efficient handling, movement, and storage of mattress inventory in a warehouse or retail environment. Requirements

• Valid forklift operator certification or license as required by state regulations.
• Proven experience operating forklifts in a warehouse or retail environment.
• Ability to safely lift and maneuver heavy mattresses and related products.
• Basic understanding of inventory management and warehouse safety protocols.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to workplace safety.

• Experience in mattress or furniture warehousing or retail environments.
• Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS) or inventory tracking software.

Responsibilities

• Operate forklifts to move mattresses and related products safely and efficiently within the warehouse or retail space.
• Load and unload delivery trucks, handling products carefully to prevent damage.
• Organize and stack mattresses in designated storage areas according to company guidelines and inventory management systems.
• Inspect forklift equipment routinely and promptly report maintenance needs or safety concerns.
• Collaborate with inventory and warehouse teams to verify product counts and assist with stock replenishment.
• Follow safety regulations and company policies to maintain a safe working environment.
• Help maintain cleanliness and orderliness in the mattress department and surrounding work areas.
