About The Position

DHL Supply Chain is hiring a Forklift Operator for a refrigerated facility inside Springfield Underground. The role combines equipment operation, typically 30–90% of the time depending on production peaks, with material handling and loading and unloading duties. Forklift Operators move stock within the warehouse, load and unload shipments, and may operate stand-up, sit-down, or clamp forklifts and electric pallet jacks. The environment is team-oriented, fast-paced, and safety-focused.

The schedule is Tuesday through Friday, 3 p.m. to 1 a.m., and pay is $20.15 per hour. The position requires safe, efficient operation of a stand-up Dock Stocker and Reach Truck; prior experience with these is preferred. Experience with an Order (Cherry) Picker, sit-down forklift, clamp forklift, or electric pallet jack is also a plus.

Requirements

• Forklift operator certificate or satisfactory completion of a forklift-training program within the first 30 days of employment.
• Six months of forklift operation experience.
• Safe and efficient operation of a stand-up Dock Stocker and Reach Truck.

Nice To Haves

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Six months of warehouse experience.
• Experience operating an Order (Cherry) Picker, sit-down forklift, clamp forklift, or electric pallet jack.

Responsibilities

• Load, unload, move, stock, and stage products and materials using forklifts or other powered equipment for 80% of the specified shift.
• Pull and prepare products for shipment, ensuring the correct number and types of products are loaded.
• Keep appropriate inventory records and reports.
• Comply with OSHA and MSDS standards.
• Verify load accuracy, including count, stability, and product condition, and report variances.
• Change equipment batteries or LP tanks and monitor power sources as needed.
• Keep facility equipment and materials neat, clean, and orderly.
• Assist with physical inventories.
• Complete daily equipment inspections.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
