About The Position

Think Zone, part of TAL Education Group, provides K–8 students with engaging, personalized math instruction to build strong foundations and confidence. The Math Tutor helps elementary and middle school students develop their math skills in a positive, challenging, and supportive learning environment. The center provides the curriculum, materials, and training; lesson planning is not required.

This part-time role is designed to fit around school schedules and offers 6–12 hours per week, with opportunities for additional hours. Tutors typically work 2–4 shifts per week. Shifts are available Tuesday and Thursday from 2:30 PM to 7:30 PM, Wednesday and Friday from 2:30 PM to 6:30 PM, and Saturday from 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM or 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM. Saturday availability is strongly preferred. The program runs from June 2, 2026, through June 5, 2027, at Think Zone Learning Center, 1111 W El Camino Real Ste 217, Sunnyvale, CA 94087. Pay is $19.00–$20.00 per hour.

The position offers hands-on teaching experience and opportunities to develop leadership, communication, and teaching skills. Career progression may include Lead Tutor, Assistant Manager, and Learning Center Manager roles.

Requirements

• Be currently in high school and at least 16 years old, currently in college, or have a high school diploma.

Nice To Haves

• Teaching or tutoring experience is a plus, but not required.
• Saturday availability is strongly preferred.
