Math Corps is hiring Math Tutors to provide math support to students in grades K–3 at a local school. Tutors work with groups of up to three students for 20–30 minutes at a time, following a schedule that ensures students receive tutoring. They help students build math skills and confidence through proven activities, encouragement, and ongoing support. Training and coaching are provided. The role is part of Math Corps, an AmeriCorps program administered by Ampact, a nonprofit organization. The position runs from January 2027 through May 2027 during the 2026–27 school year. Full-time positions are 37.5 hours per week, with fewer hours during weeks that include holidays or school release days; part-time positions of 27.5 hours per week are also available. Work takes place during daytime school hours, Monday through Friday, with holidays and school release days off. Members may occasionally complete approved service or training outside the school day as needed. Full-time AmeriCorps members receive a stipend of $17.50 per hour served, paid every two weeks. Benefits include individual health insurance with the monthly premium fully covered, child care assistance based on family size and income, a member assistance program, education benefits of up to $1,956.35 for college tuition or student loans, federal student loan forbearance and interest repayment, and time accrual toward Public Service Loan Forgiveness.
