About The Position

Math Corps is hiring tutors to support elementary students at a local school during the 2026–27 school year. Tutors lead structured math-practice sessions for groups of up to three students, meeting with each group for 20–30 minutes and following a schedule so every student receives support. Tutors help students return to their classrooms between sessions and encourage them as they build math skills and confidence. Training and ongoing coaching are provided; prior expertise in math is not required. The positions run from January 2027 through June 2027. Full-time members serve 32 hours per week, with fewer hours during weeks with holidays or school release days. Daytime hours correspond to school start and end times, Monday through Friday. Part-time positions are also available at 25 or 15 hours per week. Math Corps is administered by Ampact, a nonprofit organization, and is powered by AmeriCorps members. The program has helped more than 91,000 students. Ampact prohibits discrimination and harassment based on protected characteristics and offers reasonable accommodation upon request.
