About The Position
Mathnasium is a math-only learning center that provides personalized tutoring to K–12 students to help them catch up, keep up, and get ahead. Math Tutors teach groups of up to four students using the Socratic method and ready-made lessons developed by the Curriculum Team, so lesson planning is not required. The role includes paid training and flexible weekday afternoon shifts, with a potential path to Lead Instructor or full-time work.
Requirements
- Strong math skills through Algebra I.
- Enjoy working with children.
- Pass a background check.
- Be available at least two weekday afternoons.
Nice To Haves
- Geometry or higher-level math skills are preferred.
Responsibilities
- Teach math from Kindergarten through Pre-Calculus, including SAT/ACT preparation.
- Make math engaging using real-world examples and motivate students.
- Track student progress.
- Team-teach with the Center Director.
