About The Position
The Math Teacher is responsible for teaching secondary mathematics and applying effective teaching principles and methodologies. The role requires knowledge of Michigan teaching certification requirements, Multi-Tiered System of Support (MTSS), and Positive Behavioral Intervention and Supports (PBIS), along with professional communication and consistent adherence to legal and ethical practices.
Requirements
- Valid Michigan teaching certification with a Secondary Math (Secondary EX or EQ) teaching endorsement.
- Ability to establish positive working relationships with teachers, parents, and administrators through professional communication.
- Knowledge and consistent application of legal and ethical practices.
- Thorough knowledge and application of the principles and methodologies of effective teaching.
- In-depth understanding of a Multi-Tiered System of Support (MTSS).
- Thorough understanding of Positive Behavioral Intervention and Supports (PBIS).
- Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing.
- Proven ability to report to work on a regular and punctual basis.
