The Math Teacher will be responsible for developing lesson plans that align with state learning and common core standards, utilizing technology to assist students, and adapting the curriculum to engage students actively. The role involves creating classroom experiences that teach students not only facts but also how to apply knowledge to solve real-world problems and develop 21st-century skills. The teacher will foster engaging and empowering learning experiences, utilize learning data and tools, and support student learning both inside and outside the classroom. General responsibilities include upholding the Academy's philosophy and mission, adopting a student-centric and holistic approach to teaching, modeling desired behaviors, preparing instructional lesson plans, administering standardized tests, maintaining accurate student records, and ensuring confidentiality. The teacher will collaborate with staff to improve student learning, employ sound classroom management techniques, and engage in professional development. Required participation in school activities includes staff meetings, open houses, chaperoning, providing guidance, faculty committees, and resolving school problems. Adherence to corporate and Academy policies and procedures is expected, along with maintaining Highly Qualified Teacher status and performing other duties as assigned by the Principal and Management Company.
