Math/Science Tutor
About The Position
Huntington Learning Center is hiring caring, knowledgeable professionals to tutor students in grades 6–12 in Math and/or Science. Tutors work directly with students in one-to-one sessions or groups of up to four, helping them master challenging concepts, strengthen study skills, prepare for the ACT/SAT, and grow as confident learners. The center provides the curriculum and individualized programs. The role is based in a collaborative, rewarding center environment and includes paid training and ongoing professional development. Hours are part-time and flexible within the stated schedule: Monday–Thursday, 12–8:30 p.m., and Saturday, 9 a.m.–3 p.m.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university.
- Strong expertise in Math and/or Science.
- Caring, dependable, and committed to helping students succeed.
Responsibilities
- Tutor students in grades 6–12 individually or in groups of up to four.
- Teach Math and/or Science topics, including Algebra, Geometry, Trigonometry, Statistics, Calculus, Chemistry, Physics, and Life Sciences.
- Support students with classroom skills, homework, subject mastery, and ACT/SAT preparation.
- Help students strengthen study skills, build confidence, and reach their academic goals.
