About The Position
Brightmont Academy is hiring a part-time Math & Science Teacher to provide personalized one-to-one instruction to students in grades 1–12. Teachers tailor instruction to students’ individual needs and learning styles and use a gradual-release approach to help students build confidence and achieve mastery. The role does not require lesson planning, parent conferences, or work outside teaching. Professional development opportunities are available.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant subject area, such as math, chemistry, physics, engineering, or biology.
- Patience and empathy, with a commitment to supporting students with different learning needs.
- Genuine passion for teaching and sharing subject knowledge.
- Proficiency with G-Suite and learning management software (LMS).
- Ability to provide fingerprints in Arizona or Washington, where applicable, and pass a federal background check.
Nice To Haves
- Teaching certification; it is not required.
- Advanced degree in a specific subject area of expertise.
- Previous one-to-one teaching experience.
