Math Instructional Coach

Innovamat•Riverside, CA

About The Position

Innovamat is an educational organization specializing in mathematics education. Founded in Barcelona in 2017, it provides schools with a research-based math program from Early Childhood through Secondary Education, integrating curriculum, teacher training, assessment, and intervention. The organization works in nine countries and reports partnering with more than 31,000 teachers across 3,300-plus schools, reaching more than 720,000 students. Its program has independently validated efficacy data and passed the California State Board of Education adoption process for a core math curriculum. The Math Instructional Coach will support early childhood educators in the greater Los Angeles area and surrounding regions, including Riverside and San Bernardino. The role focuses on helping teachers provide meaningful, developmentally appropriate mathematics experiences for young children through classroom observation, live modeling, coaching, feedback, and professional development. The coach will help educators develop children’s foundational mathematical understanding through play, exploration, problem-solving, and classroom conversations, while tailoring coaching to schools, teachers, and implementation stages. The role involves approximately 30–50% travel to schools and districts.
