•$90,000 - $110,000

About The Position

Innovamat is hiring a Math Instructional Coach based in the greater Los Angeles area, including surrounding regions such as Orange County and Long Beach. The role supports early childhood educators in creating meaningful, research-based mathematics experiences for young children. Through classroom observations, live modeling, feedback, and tailored professional development, the coach helps teachers develop children's mathematical curiosity, confidence, and foundational understanding through play, exploration, problem-solving, and classroom conversations. The coach designs personalized professional development journeys for schools and educators, adapting coaching to different contexts and stages of implementation. The role also helps educators recognize and develop children's mathematical thinking in areas such as number sense, quantities, patterns, shapes, spatial relationships, and early problem-solving. The coach works as a thought partner to teachers and school leaders, builds a regional community of early childhood math educators, and supports measurable improvement in teacher practice and children's mathematical engagement and understanding. Travel to schools and districts is approximately 30–50% of the time. Innovamat is an educational organization founded in Barcelona in 2017 that provides a research-based mathematics program from Early Childhood through Secondary Education. Its integrated program includes curriculum, teacher training, assessment, and intervention. Innovamat operates in 9 countries, partners with more than 31,000 teachers across more than 3,300 schools, and reaches more than 720,000 students. The company states that its efficacy data has been independently validated and that it was the first non-American organization to pass the California State Board of Education adoption process for a core math curriculum.
