About The Position

The General Education Instructor provides quality instruction to students that meets program and course objectives. The instructor maintains an organized, disciplined classroom environment conducive to learning and communicates the requirements of the relevant workplace setting to students. Adjunct faculty are scheduled as needed according to courses offered in each module, with no guaranteed hours; scheduled hours are generally under 25 per week.

Requirements

• Master’s degree or higher.
• At least 15 semester credit hours or 23 quarter credit hours in a related subject area that supports the General Education curriculum.
• Understanding of educational environments, including the needs of adult learners.
• Ability to provide a positive and effective learning environment.
• Knowledge and understanding of professional career paths for which students are enrolled.
• Motivation, dedication, and enthusiasm for teaching.
• Good organizational and communication skills.

Nice To Haves

• At least two years of experience in the field of instruction for General Education classes.
