About The Position

The General Education Instructor provides quality instruction to students in alignment with program and course objectives. The instructor maintains an organized, disciplined classroom environment conducive to learning and communicates the expectations of relevant workplace settings to students. Adjunct faculty hours depend on scheduled courses in each module; instructors are scheduled as needed, with no guaranteed hours, and scheduled hours are generally under 25 per week.

Requirements

• Master’s degree.
• At least 15 semester credit hours or 23 quarter credit hours in a related subject area that supports the General Education curriculum.
• Understanding of education environments, including the needs of adult learners.
• Ability to provide a positive and effective learning environment.
• Knowledge and understanding of professional career paths for which students are enrolled.
• Motivation, dedication, and enthusiasm for teaching.
• Good organization and communication skills.

Nice To Haves

• At least two years of experience in the field of instruction for General Education classes.
