About The Position

A Materials Technician performs Supply Chain department functions to help maintain the proper quality and quantity of medical supplies for patient care. Duties include receiving incoming supplies, controlling inventory, supporting and maintaining PAR-level locations, issuing and filling departmental requisitions, delivering supplies, and completing clerical and ERP tasks. The role is based at Franciscan Health Indianapolis Orthopedic Hospital in Carmel, Indiana. The schedule is Monday through Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. The position requires travel never or rarely.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED.
Two years of storeroom, inventory supply systems, receiving, or related experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Unload delivery trucks, check boxes for damage, and sign for parcels.
Deliver stock supplies to Central Supply and non-stock supplies to departments throughout the facility and off-site locations.
Prepare parcels for courier shipment.
Match packing slips with received supplies to verify quantities.
Receive daily stock orders, restock shelves, rotate supplies, and monitor expiration dates.
Count and restock PAR locations daily to maintain established PAR levels.
Fill and deliver daily departmental requisitions.
Answer incoming calls and assist end users as needed.
Maintain clean supply areas.
Perform weekly cycle counts of Central Supply items.
