About The Position

Under general supervision, the Materials Technician receives store stock items and reconciles, codes, inventories, stores, and issues materials, equipment, and supplies in the district's centralized warehouse or storage yard. The position also performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• High school equivalency.
• Supplemental college courses in business management, computers, records management, and bookkeeping.
• Two years of related materials handling, issuing, and computerized inventory control experience.
• Forklift certification must be obtained within the initial six months from the date of hire.
• Hazardous Materials FRO/FRA certification.
• First Aid and CPR training.
• IIPP training and required use of all personal protective equipment.
• MSDS training and knowledge of where that information is located for all materials received, stored, and issued.
• A negative drug test is required as a condition of employment.
• Employees must notify supervision when applying for a position.
