3rd Shift Materials Team Leader

The Materials Team Leader is responsible for coordinating activities within materials, including receiving, warehousing, shipping, and inventory control. This role involves leading and coaching employees, ensuring standard work is followed, tracking shortages and material flow issues, and assisting in problem resolution.
Requirements
- Ability to influence, coach and lead others both directly and indirectly
- High level proficiency in Microsoft Office such as Excel, and Outlook
- Capable of learning and utilizing multiple systems and databases
- Strong oral communication and ability to communicate with both internal and external parties involved in scrap, trash, recycling and storage
- Ability to perform the job of employees under their supervision
- Knowledge and application of the Lean Principles
- Works with little supervision
- Valid Driver's License
- Ability to operate powered industrial vehicles
Responsibilities
- Ensure safety of employees and adherence to EHS requirements
- Lead MDI and other related materials activities and meetings
- Lead and train employees, providing feedback and coaching
- Ensure material availability and accurate inventories
- Ensure all transactions and logs are executed correctly and in a timely manner
- Ensure all necessary documents are maintained and filed in accordance with compliance and retention policies
