About The Position

Our client operates refineries across the United States, producing gasoline, diesel fuel, jet fuel, specialty lubricant products, and specialty and modified asphalt. The client is seeking a Materials Specialist in Anacortes, Washington, for a long-term contract. The role manages day-to-day warehouse activities and materials, supports plant personnel, and leads material management projects and contract personnel.

Requirements

Minimum 3 years of Material Coordination or Material Management experience.
TWIC Card is required.

Nice To Haves

Oil and gas experience.
Turnaround experience.

Responsibilities

Understand plant policies, including escorting non-TWIC holders.
Act as an equipment spotter for others using proper hand signals and best practices.
Verify materials efficiently and accurately.
Complete Good Receipts efficiently and accurately.
Research Good Receipts problems and discrepancies.
Stage materials in Laydown Yard Manager (LDM) efficiently and accurately.
Issue materials from inventory and Laydown Yard Manager (LDM) efficiently and accurately.
Research delivery errors and discrepancies.
Assist plant personnel at the warehouse pickup window.
Complete safety audits and equipment checkoffs.
Understand Investment Recovery and organize material returns.
Apply turnaround and turnaround material management procedures.
Apply project and project material management procedures.
Multitask, manage deadlines, and complete assigned material management projects.
Manage day-to-day warehouse activities efficiently and effectively.
Lead Material Management Projects and be accountable for their timely completion.
Lead safety meetings, trainings, and staff meetings.
Lead a team and be accountable for other Material Management contract personnel.
Work independently or as part of a team with limited supervision.
