About The Position

The Materials Management Technician delivers supplies to user departments, processes requests for stock items, maintains patient care equipment, and performs receiving and storeroom functions. The role also performs linen distribution functions as directed and other duties as assigned. The technician maintains inventory control for assigned areas to help ensure customer supply needs are met, performs data entry related to the patient charge sheet process, completes assigned goals, and carries out related responsibilities as required or directed.

Requirements

Knowledge of medical and non-medical supplies.
Ability to communicate clearly and effectively using standard English in written, oral, and verbal formats to achieve high productivity and efficiency.
Ability to write legibly and record information accurately as necessary to perform job duties.
Working knowledge of the Materials Management Information System and general warehouse/storeroom operations.
Basic computer skills.

Nice To Haves

Six months of experience working with patient care supplies and equipment.
Previous experience in medical supplies, including the ability to calculate usage and demand and familiarity with basic purchasing procedures.
One year of experience.
