About The Position

The Boeing Company is seeking a Materials Management and Transportation Manager to join the 737 Supply Chain Fulfillment Wings team in Renton, Washington. This role involves leading a team to support enterprise-level initiatives and implement high-visibility fulfillment-focused projects. The manager will develop and execute integrated organizational plans and solutions to enable business objectives, requiring partnership with leaders across the enterprise and active participation in the 737 Supply Chain Fulfillment Wings team. The position demands innovative thinking to discover new opportunities and solutions, blending strategic thinking with on-the-ground execution to improve systems, business policies, processes, standard work, and efficiencies for a unified Boeing Supply Chain. The successful candidate must be capable of leading teams, understanding strategic organizational aspects, navigating a complex environment, and demonstrating knowledge of the company and multiple functional subject areas to meet supply chain management goals and customer expectations. They will also be responsible for translating strategic goals into tactical actions for the team. This is a Level K position.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience with Supplier Management, Supply Chain and/or Procurement practices and processes
  • At least one year of experience in a leadership role (team leader, temp manager, large scale cross functional project/program management, or formal manager experience) OR have completed Boeing internal course “Exploring Leadership.”
  • 3+ years of experience in materials management and/or supply chain management
  • 3+ years of experience developing and maintaining relationships and partnerships with customers, stakeholders, peers, partners and direct reports
  • To meet U.S. export control compliance requirements, a “U.S. Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. §120.62 is required. “U.S. Person” includes U.S. Citizen, U.S. National, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.
